Applications:
Methidathion is a highly systemic organophosphate insecticide with both contact and stomach toxicity. Its control effects on aphids, mites, rice leafhoppers, and rice planthoppers are superior to those of phosphamidon and malathion. It can also be used to control cotton bollworm, cutworms, striped rice stem borers, rice leafrollers, as well as underground pests such as mole crickets and beetle larvae. For 50% emulsifiable concentrate, use a 1000-fold dilution (50–100 mL per mu with 50–57 kg of water) for spraying, which can effectively control cotton aphids, cotton bollworms, cotton red spider mites, thrips on cotton, rice planthoppers, rice stem borers, peanut aphids, soybean caterpillars, fruit tree aphids, red spider mites, and aphids and red spider mites on wheat. When rice planthoppers or stem borers occur in large numbers, apply 100–125 mL per mu with 300 kg of water for drenching. For controlling corn borers, use 50 mL per mu with 100–125 kg of water for stem injection. Using 1% poison soil, apply 5 kg per mu to control the striped rice stem borer and beet aphid.
